The position I am applying for is Team General Manager. I have a

love for sports and would like to work in that field. As a General Manager,

the duties are just about the same as running a multi-billion dollar business.

The major responsibility of the General Manager is to take care of all the activities of the

team. This includes press, publicity and marketing. Also, they must hire people to work

all aspects of the sports industry. This position became available due to the person who

is currently General Manager not being able to fulfill his duties. I would like to take over

the position of General Manager. I feel that with my qualifications and experience, I

would be an asset to their organization.

As a Team General Manager, there will be many duties to fulfill. Some of those

duties include being responsible to take care of team activities and any other

public affairs. A good General Manager must have the right kind attitude towards what

what you must do. If you do not have the right outlook towards what you have to do,

then your job may be in jeopardy. To do this job properly, the right tools must be used

in order to keeping everything running smooth. The tools used may not seem like im-

portent ones but they do come in much need as a General Manager. First of all a cell

phone and/or pager will be necessary to be in contact with coaches, media, owners etc.

The next tool needed is a briefcase or something similar to keep all important

documents organized so he can stay on top of everything. Finally the last two

major requirements needed is some form of transportation whether it be your own

car, team bus, limo...
