The Olympics are the ultimate measure of man. It is a place where the best of the best come together to see who is the Swiftest, Highest, and Strongest. The Olympic originated in Greece in about 775B.C. They were a ceremony to please the god Zeus. The games were much like they are today. They consisted of many different events such as wrestling, spear throwing, discus, equestrian events and the pentathlon.
