Samuel Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot” has some truly wondrous and somewhat magical moments contained within its pages. ... In the play, Estragon and Vladimir are waiting on a road, near a tree, for something named Godot. that the men hold, the triviality of human life is exemplified, through the relationship of Pozzo and Lucky, the nature for man to oppress others is shown, and through the fact that these two men are waiting on something that they do not know, faith and hope are shown. These characteristics are just a few, but are the main points that “Waiting for Godot” shows about what it means to be human.
Life is fraught with the trivialities of pointless conversation with dull content, but “Waiting for Godot” has an almost limitless capacity for these trivialities. ...
Another example of a human characteristic that is shown in “Waiting for Godot” is the characteristic that humans tend to oppress each other and manipulate others for personal gain.
