I am an atheist. It’s a part and parcel of who I am. No, I am not a rebel who thinks god does not exist just because his parents say he/she does. I have read all the religious books I could find, and I do not think there is anything in those books that justifies organized religion and the afterlife. ... Few people actually try to look at religion with a neutral mindset, but fortunately or unfortunately I am an exception. ... I believe that the concept of an afterlife was thought up to give the masses a tangible benefit for following a religion. ... Why would people devote the years of their life following god and abstaining from pleasure if this was the only life they were entitled to? ... If you ask me, I would rather be in hell than a heaven like that.
