Tale

Once, there was a knight who was now a little too old to fight anymore. He used to be a great courageous knight who never lost a battle and was famous even among the enemies. He was the one, who had become a knight at the age of 14, who helped his lord win the battle against the dragon¡¯s army and made the king impressed so that he gave a castle for a reward of his bravery. His story was one of the most favorable stories that are told among people.
One day in the evening, after he visited an old friend, he was riding home on his horse. It was dark and even the moonshine was half-blocked by tall trees. His old horse, though, could see well even in the horrible darkness. As he had the habit of taking care of his weapon and chain mail everyday, sometimes when there was no branches over the knight¡¯s head and the moonshine fell on him, his sword and armor glittered silver-blue. Even though they weren¡¯t decorated, they had overwhelming charisma.
Suddenly he saw a turtle lying in the middle of the woods. It was quite ridiculous to see a turtle in such a deep forest. He knew that there was a river somewhere in the forest but it was far. He did not care and took the turtle and went off on his way, to find the river. After one hour, when he finally reached the brook, he let the turtle swim away. He was happy to be able to save a life, as he was always sorry for those, who had to die by his sword in the battle.
When he came home, his stableman told him that his lord¡¯s daughter was kidnapped by the witch who was once defeated by the knight at the battle in the Tower of Wisdom. He took no time to rest and left for the island where the witch lived.
As he arrived at the shore there were no boatmen. The witch had killed all of them. The knight couldn¡¯t do anything. But then, a turtle floated toward him. Another one came after it, and then another. Soon there were so many turtles that it looked like land had suddenly come up from the...
