Three Views On Christian Education
view three:
Christian Education, in a classical sense, believes that the source of reality, creativity, and wonder are all wrapped up in the person and mind of God. Therefore, believers who assert the proposition that God exists and acts in accordance with a correct interpretation of the scriptures, justify exploration of creativity (art) and science as means of partially deapthing the riches of God's nature.
An Education that is administered in Christian charity (another sense of 'Christian Education') is not necessarily driven by the classical-Christian world view. At its very best, it is enacted by Christians with the charitable interests of others in mind. This means that toil and grace are judiciously mixed as are all aspects of love.

See the difference. Pascal used his Knowledge of God as a motivation and explanation for the way things worked, the Church often used the Bible to explain nature, knowledge, the arts, etc
