Gods Relationship To Man And Creation
God's relationship to Man and Creation
The creation story makes three basic assertions about God and his relationship to the world and mankind. God spoke the universe into existence; (Gen 1: 3-5). God and everything he made was good; (Gen 1: 31). God created man in his own image and gave mankind the gift of the material world ;(Gen. 1: 26-31).
By speaking the world into existence, God showed His unparalleled power to supply all the needs of His creation. He was in total control of every molecule of light, air, and water. He gave a part of His glory to the sun to shine by day, and He created entire galaxies to supply stars for the night sky. His relation to the earth is that He is the earth, and without Him, it would disintegrate. He physically holds this world together with His hands, and wills it to spin by His spirit.
God's praise of His creation was that is "was good." He was pleased with the perfection He saw when he looked at His handiwork. He took care to provide everything necessary for His new creation to survive, and to make a pleasant home for them to live

in. God's heart's desire was for His creation to be at peace and feel safe in the world He had created, especially for their pleasure.
The total culmination of God's relationship to His creation was when He chose man above all His other works, to receive his image. This did not mean that man
physically looked like God, but that man was given a spiritual nature. None of God's other creation was afforded this privilege. He did this in order that man might be able to relate to Him and He to them. It was the most personal kind of love relationship possible for God.
When man broke this chain of relationship with God by his disobedience, God was forced to turn away. He cast His precious creation out of the perfect home He had created for them, but He was not willing for that special relationship to end so...
