Gaza Strip Islamic Jewish And Christian Conflicts
Religious conflict in the Middle East is an escalating matter that can be directly related to a common holy ground amongst rival religious powers. The Gaza Strip, located on the West Bank near Israel, is a valuable territory for Islamic, Jewish, and Christian theology. By the year 1928, an increasing amount of Jewish settlers caused tension to rise with the native Arabic people. The area surrounding the Gaza Strip contains many religious landmarks, including the supposed burial sites of both Jesus Christ and Abraham's father among many others. Being that this small area has distinct significance for all three religions, it can be understandable that there would be conflict over territorial possessions in the area. It is due to these reasons that these three religions are at the core of today's world conflicts in the Middle East.
To begin, one of the quarreling religions in this matter is the Islamic people. Because the Islamic religion is anti-Semitic, they have increased hatred toward the Jewish cause. Not only are they anti-Semitic, extremist Muslim leaders also call for the overthrow of all governments and the establishment of an Islamic super state controlling all aspects of life for every person on Earth. Jihad, the Islamic Holy war, is the forcible conversion of all people to Islam and world domination, which are central tenants of Islam. Many Muslims rank Jihad as the sixth pillar of Islam.
Judaism is another religion that holds sacred bonds to the West Bank area. For instance, Abraham's father is said to be buried there. Abraham is the founder of the Judaism religion. Zionism, another Jewish interest, explains a socialist/utopian state dealing with the Jews. In several instances, the Jewish have been massacred by the Islams due to their anti-Semitic tendencies. For a long time now, the Jews have been victims of significant amounts of hatred from other religions.
