Over the centuries dispensationalism has been strongly debated. Today, two often asked questions are what is dispensationalism and why do we need it? In order for us to answer these questions we must first understand three basic aspects of dispensationalism. ... Many Christians are not willing to take up the task of studying and dividing the word, claiming that all they need to know is just as a blind man Jesus healed said, “…though I was blind, now I see.” Though this is great to know, particularly at the point of spiritual birth, scripture clearly does not tell us this is the only thing we need to know. ... Therefore, take every word at its primary,
ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the
