Defintion Of Religion

Religion can be traced back to early humans inhabiting the earth. Every culture defines religion and as a set of laws, which people must follow and live their lives by. Personally, I use religion to help me live a better, more peaceful, hopeful and happy life. Religion is a set of beliefs concerning numerous issues such as nature, creation and the purpose of life. Religion also provides explanations for certain phenomenal occurrences. Religion should be a vital aspect to everyone's life because it is sacred and in the end it will improve an individual's life.
Since the beginning of time, human communities have developed some form of religious beliefs. As long as societies have existed, religion has formed and structured their way of living. In the past, families were more religious; consequently they possessed greater family values, morals and ethics. They lived their lives according to their religious beliefs; they were probably more content with life and accepted hardships more willingly than now. Faith was their pillar of strength and would help them face any challenge life threw at them. Religion was indeed sacred. It provided a priceless inner tranquility and spiritual fulfillment.
There was less crime, less pre-marital sex and very few divorces. Children respected their parents and elders more, than now. Presently, it appears that religion is slowly disappearing from everyday life. People are beginning to assume religion is not important, question the existence of God and some believe that it is not needed in everyday life. Several children do not know anything about religion or faith. Without faith, an individual will struggle tremendously through out one's life. An individual will not have anything to believe in, provide him/her with hope or to seek help when hardships take place in his/her life. If a person does not believe in a higher being, then that individual will not fear anyone and may commit horrible crimes and other...
