Philosophers would say to be human is our essence, which is determined by our intellect and will. I believe that to be human is to possesses the quality of using our heart and mind properly. It is a distinct and unique characteristic given only to those who are capable of. Our heart is actually flowing with compassion, sympathy, mercy, hope and love. But often times, our susceptibility gets the better of us and we give in to filling our hearts with ignorance, hatred, and false hope.
