The book I chose to read for my book report was Absolutely Normal Chaos by Sharon Creech. The book was written as a girl named Mary Lou Finney’s journal. She wrote about things that happened to her over the summer. She writes about her family, her boyfriend, and just her life in general. It takes place in Easton, Ohio and the story occurs in her hometown for the most part. Except for during a short part of the book Mary Lou has to go to her uncle’s house in a back town of West Virginia . For the most part this book is very humorous. Mary Lou has many adventures through out this book and you find little twists in it. In one point she finds out about her cousin Carl Ray’s real dad who was actually her next door neighbor that just died. This is the climax of the story because from this point to the end of the novel, Carl Ray finally figures out who he is and where he belongs. He opens up to his family and is not as timid anymore.
