Unappealing Audiences?

"The only thing dirtier than the gags in Austin Powers in Goldmember is the money that's made from them." (Corliss) Revenues are ultimately the basis of a movie's popularity. In the article "This Essay Is Rated PG-13," Richard Corliss demonstrates Hollywood's rating system on movies need to be reformed. A majority of movies are intended for a "younger audience". Humor in movies has evolved into sexual oriented themes. Acts of violence are being extenuated to brutal behavior. Penis showing, rear ends, and bare breasts are deemed humorous and acceptable. Nevertheless, Hollywood's rating system judges that brand of behavior to be acquitted for a PG-13 rating. Allowing teenagers to experience behavior at a young age is not morally justified. Hollywood's rating system needs to be reformed for the appropriate audiences.
Regulations should be properly mandated and issued on a movie's rating. Hollywood has invertily labeled movies PG-13; nevertheless, should be actual labeled as restricted. Anger Management rated PG-13, starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholas, should be labeled as an R rated movie. Sandler's and Nicholas's portray characters that involve toilet humor that is inappropriate for teenagers to view. In one scene, Nicholas's character is having a socratic diccusion with people who have anger problems. Two lesbians discuss that they can't control their sexual pleasures with men and begin to kiss and fondle each other's breasts. Another scene has Sandler's character checking the size of another man's penis in the bathroom. Unorthodox and inethinical scenes do not need to be shown to increase a movie's success and revenues.
The money a movie generates is more appealing to filmmakers rather than the creditability. Well known directs such as Steven Speilburg and George Lucas produce films that usually generate a lot of success because of their creditability.
