The Search for Meaning The poem “Welcome Me, Adulthood” by Christina Cooper basically deals with issues regarding the step form childhood to adulthood. Christina had described adulthood as the most difficult time in life. This is true because an adult has lots of expectations. The second paragraph of the poem deals with putting your childhood fantasies aside before you enter adulthood. This is because things are very different between these two stages. There are lots of responsibilities and expectations for an adult. Firstly, you have to learn how to take care of yourself, then other people.
