Rebel Without A Cause

Patrick Klund Mass Media Mr. Storm 1/13/03 Rebel Without A Cause (1955) Rebel Without A Cause is a film that deals sympathetically with misunderstood, rebellious, American kids. At the beginning of the movie, I thought it was pretty old-fashioned and corny. It seemed to blame all the teenagers' problems on their parents, which I think is pretty narrow-minded. If the parents had just shown that they loved their kids, they wouldn't have had any problems. Jim Stark (James Dean) has a wimp of a dad and a domineering mother, who thinks the solution to any problem, is to move to another town. His dad seems to finally stand up to Jim's mother at the end of the movie. Judy (Natalie Wood) has a dad who gets on her case because of the way she dresses.
