This moviefs philosophical theme is living human and forest together. Also, Several animal Gods appear in this movie. But these Gods are not only objects of religion for the people, but also they are an antagonism between Human and God. It is not the tale which drew confrontation of justice and wrong simply because action which characters start is equipped with each background and something to say. The tale consists of each group. At first, there are a natural protection groups. San(*1) and Moro(*2) who love the forest of Shishi God(*3) have hate against Eboshi Gozen(*4) who despoils their hangout. What are really what they desire, and the thing made into their ideal? It is not clearly drawn on this movie. . However, probably nature may be protected anyway and we may consider the simile of denying the existence of the convenience of civilization and human being itself. They feel anger to the destructive action which human takes, and hold a feeling of dislike. It is the whole family of Okkotonushi(*5) to have made this escalate further.
