Misery,

A 1990 movie production, based on the Stephen King novel called ‘Misery', is a huge hit in the box office and book stores. The antagonist in the movie is Annie. When the stereotypical "bad guys" Annie, the antagonist in ‘Misery is a multidimensional character. There is more to her than the naked eye can see. Her mood swings and split personality awake the protagonist, when he gets ‘rescued' by Annie and taken into her home, to care for.

Paul Sheldon the antagonist gets rescued by Annie and gets taken into her home to recover from his wounds. The antagonist in the story starts of being a nice sincere lady, but a few days later reveals her mysterious, devious side to her. She has isolated herself for many years, which would leave to her mental health problem, of being almost a terrorist against her number one hero/author. Her past has lead to this lifestyle of depression when the rain comes and fear of being alone again. So she try's and keeps the protagonist in her hands for as long as she can.

Annie the number one fan as she calls herself basically stalks Sheldon. Her multidimensional character appears to be obvious when she ‘rescued' Sheldon from his near to be death. Her multidimensional charteristics are noticeable when she finds out that her favorite character Misery has died from child birth. Annie does have a nice side to her, for example when she was filled with feelings of joy and gratitude that she was the very first to read the new novel the Paul Sheldon has written, and rescuing him from his car when he fell down the hill in the snow storm. After the book is over the protagonist sees the devious horror's side of the antagonist's personality. She seems to Paul that she is trying to help him as much as she can, by letting him stay at her house and healing his wounds and making it her best interest so that he appreciates her and falls in love with her. But on the other side she doesn't want to be lonely and...
