Movie English
I have been watching original edition of movies for years, but only when I get the lessons where we saw movies to get lessons when I realize it was such an effective way of learning oral English and training hearing ability. Because when we are watching a film we hear (what the actors are talking about), and we see ( the circumstance where the actors have been, or sometimes screenplay in English or Chinese , when I come across something difficult in hearing or understanding , I can refer to the screenplay, or if there is a new word I¡¯ve never seen before and can give a pause and go get help from the dictionary.
Something more important is what we¡¯ll call ¡®scene¡¯, it gives us an very important information that where this kind of conversations should occur, and next time we meet with the same or similar condition if we thought about this scene we¡¯ve ever seen in this movie ,we can search some words and a tone proper to describe exactly, or maybe we can refer to a sentence we¡¯ve learned by heart already.
I¡¯ve also enjoyed the movies when we watched them and tried to learn something from it meanwhile. Including the movie of notting hill , a romantic comic I¡¯ve seen for more than five times before we watched in class, and I can tell what most of the scene is like and some of the actors¡¯ line. But it was a totally experience when I saw it again with my classmates and teacher, at first. I was to get something to study from it.
And during the casual holiday at home I bought a lot of DVDs at home which I have watch most . I got so many new stuff to remember that a notebook is almost full now. the biggest difficulty comes from the silence of the lambs by Anthony Hopkins and Jodie foster ,so it took about ten pieces of paper to write down what I¡¯ve never seen before.
