Harry Potter And The Sorcerors Stone
Harry Potter is one of the most well known names in the world, next to Bin Laudin and Jesus. It is hard to imagine that an 11 year old fictious boy is so famous. Since the year 1999 J.K. Rowling, the author of the book series Harry Potter, has been on the best seller's list. This series has people young and old line up many hours before midnight on the night the next book is due to come out. J.K. Rowling has thought of a boy that has caused a lot of up roar. This phenomenon has not only filled the bookstores to the top but has recently filled the box offices.
I wasn't a Harry Potter fan until very recently. I didn't read my first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, until this May. After the first chapter of the first book in the now five book series I was hooked!! I had finished the first four books when I decided it was time to invest in the first Harry Potter movie. I was so excited when I left Wal-Mart I couldn't wait to get home. I had heard that the movie was a great success. I hurried into my house and popped in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
This movie though well directed and produced was good but I was very upset and a little disappointed. I am sure that most die hard Harry Potter fans will feel the same way. The movie, I felt left a lot of important information out that the watchers, if never read the books, will need to know for the series.
First and for most they forgot to tell the fact that Harry had never went to the zoo before with Dursleys. He actually didn't want to go at all. Then they forgot to tell that when the letters started to come for Harry that the Dursleys moved him from the room under the stairs to Dudley's extra toy room. There are many, many, many things that the movie leaves out. If someone doesn't know these things then they will get lost. I spent about one hour after the movie went off just explaining things to my mother.
