The final scene brings to a conclusion all the messages and values that have been raised through the rest of the film. While the scenes at Dil’s flat bring back all the messages about gender and sexuality, the scenes for the terrorist plot conclude the political messages and nationalism issues that are raised. It does this effectively by using both visual and audio aids: changing the gender of the performer of The Crying Game and by showing the different personalities of Dil and Jude - how the real man comes across as a woman and the real woman comes across as much more of a man.
