Three aspects of adolescence that we discussed in class that were also featured in the movie would be peer pressure, for example, at the party when that boy from the prep school boy got drunk even though he didn’t intend on drinking when he arrived to the party, just because everyone else was. ... More importantly than just preparing them mentally for the future, each of those teachers should have encouraged them more and told them to step outside the “box” that society (including their parents) sets out for them, and do whatever they want because they are capable of achieving anything they really want to achieve. ... The truth is, it’s too easy of a way out of a situation, it does not resolve a problem, but only starts several others. ... If they decide not to, the truth is, it is your life and not theirs and they cannot make you fulfill their dreams in your life—that’s just not fair.
