The movie Dead Poet’s Society contains many dynamic characters whose lives can serve as an example for many. These characters change because of their teacher, Mr. Keating. Mr. Keating teaches his students many lessons, but his main lesson is Carpe Diem, or seize the day. The main characters Knox, Todd, and Neil take this teaching to heart and allow it to change their lives. Knox, Todd, and Neil are dynamic characters who overcome their fear and seize the day. Knox seizes the day by surmounting his fear of love and pursuing Chris. The threat of Chet Danberry nor the fear of rejection no longer keep Knox locked up in a box of limited smallness. Knox called Chris and found out that she was going to call him and invite him to a party. Although it is very dangerous, Knox decides to go to the party to be with Chris.
