Bowling for Columbine Michael Moore’s “Bowling for Columbine” is an arrestingly poignant look at the American culture of violence. It seeks to answer the question of why America has such a problem with gun deaths. Through interviews that range from hilarious to infuriating in character, Moore shows the attitudes of the American public and tries to uncover an underlying reason as to why Americans seem to want to kill each other more than people in so many other nations. The film really hits close to home because the interviews it uses include everyone from common citizens to celebrities and political figures. Although the film jumps from one event or idea to another quite frequently it gives the overall impression of flowing naturally through each thought to the next.
