CAREER Arnold first wanted to become an athlete aged 6 when his dad took him to see Olympic swimmer Johnny Weismuller - later Tarzan - open a new pool. Arnold duly won a string of Mr Europe, Mr Universe and Mr Olympia titles before taking the title role in Hercules in New York, his manager selling him as a Shakespearean actor. Stop laughing. Numerous pectoral-powered performances later plus some acting lessons and a nude centrefold, and a Golden Globe arrived for Best Newcomer in Stay Hungry.
