How does the play reveal violence and antagonistic behavior? Who is affected by this behavior and in what ways? How does this violence progress throughout the play and change the course of action? Throughout this play there is violent behavior towards the women in the story. Stanley is very rough with both Stella and Blanche to try and stay in control. He believes he is the king but clearly doesn’t think they are queens. There has been many instances where his behavior like this has affected the course of action. In scene three, Stanley, in a drunken rage, attacks Stella during a poker game because she was getting in his way. He also has attacked Blanche in this story.
