The film, “Like water for chocolate” is story about family traditions and forbidden love between two people. In this movie the story is told by using mythical elements that make the movie seem more of a folktale. One element that the narrator uses to tell this story is incorporating the idea of food as feelings and the expressions of the main character Tita. Food is often a direct cause of physical and emotional distress, and is used as a means to transmit it.
