12 Angry Men If ever a film was made to present the essence of group dynamics, it would undoubtedly be very similar to 12 Angry Men. The five stages of group development take place as if within the story as if it was read from a textbook. The forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning take place with a backdrop of personal stories and issues. Before discussing the five stages, I feel that it is imperative to mention a few pertinent things that take place outside of this formal description. One of the most interesting aspects of the film is the fact that the group, as well as the audience, never learns the names of the characters. They are referred to by numbers that only have relevance and meaning within this particular group.
