As I walked down the steep, grassy embankment, I heard the faint screams and laughing of small children from every direction. I walked further; the laughter and screams became more prevalent, pounding against my eardrums like the sounds of a carnival I attended as an eight year old. Through the glaring sun, the noisemakers came into sight. Mothers and fathers sat reliving their childhood memories, with distinct looks of astonishment written on their faces. Little rug rats bolted past me knocking me off balance. The children chased a scruffy, brown dog, which ran down the hot asphalt trail, tongue hanging running for its life. While walking past a mother, a father, and their young son, I smelled a fragrance of sweet love and happiness in the air. The love and happiness the family shared for each other. Just ahead, shimmered a glaring reflection of rays off the crystal surface of the water.
