Dear Wendell Berry; After reading your essay, I have to admit that I do not agree with the reasons for not owning a computer you mentioned in your essay. As a computer fan, I strongly recommend that you buy a computer. I will explain why. The first reason is that a computer is nothing but a modern typewriter. A computer will not affect your ¡°literary cottage industry.¡± Does a computer prevent your wife from picking out your habitual errors? Does a computer prevent your wife from understanding your work?
