A Précis Of "Blue Winds Dancing"
Since the evening had moon, stars and clouds tipped with moonlight. The Indian narrator started to miss his home beyond the mountain, where was in Wisconsin, after watching the geese fly to southward. At that time he could not pay attention on his study, he just had all in his mind about how the beauty of his home, like where all the trees grow in rows; the palms stand stiffly by the roadsides etc.
He felt tired of his current living place, he was bored to live in a place is full of civilization. He felt inferior to read reports of intelligence tests and felt terrible to sit in classes to hear people say about the worship sticks of wood. He prefers simple life to complex life. Finally, he decided to go back his home.
At the beginning of his journey home, he shares a fire with bums and learns about the real needs of men and the unreality of his education. During his traveling on the train, he felt nervous about his families and friends seemed him as a stranger. But after arriving his home town, his nervous became to disappear. He just felt happy in his mind. He felt that his town gave him a warm and welcome feeling.

When he walked in his home, he saw his father, brother and sister sat around the
table. Then he cried on his father's shoulder after staring with his father. He knows his father has a lot of questions to ask him, but father seems to know why he has come back. His father tells him to go to the lodge. When he walks along the trail to the lodge, he remembers a story about an old woman under the ice after seeing the ice groan on the lake.
Finally, he goes into the lodge and sees many Indians over there. He saw many people play drums, music and dance. He feels that everyone is happy. And they are not sharing words, they are sharing mood. He feels very happy, because he is in his beautiful home.
