Teenagers want to try new experiences, and all the "safe" alternatives, they think they should try anything and everything. Often they birth-control and condoms are rushed during the moment and not used correctly, which leads to young girls getting pregnant.
We are behind because we are more wealthy then them. American students are spoiled. We have video games, cars, and too much free time on our hands to waste. Most students are lazy and just want money to buy the nice things that our country has to offer us at such a young age. U.S. are not willing to wait and put the time in to study to get a better job.
I used to think that the ease of getting birth-control and condoms was a good idea, but now I'm not sure what to think. When I first learned about the availability of these two items, I thought it would prevent a lot of problem such as sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancies. Now I'm starting to think that it is too easy to get them. I feel like we as teens are being told that it is perfectly okay and safe to have sex as long as you use the correct tools. I don't think that is the intention, but it is so easy anymore that any boy or girl will have no trouble getting the pill or condoms.
