The time from 1825 through 1850 reform movements in the United States sought to expand democratic ideals. The reforms that made the most impact were women's suffrage and education. During the beginning of women's suffrage movement, women such as Susan B. Anthony fought for women to be able to vote; als she wanted women to be able to speak in public to an audience.
