International Monetary Fund

IMF The IMF (International Monetary Fund) was created in 1944 by a special treaty of the United Nations. Also created at this time was the World Bank in which the IMF works very close with. The IMF's head quarters is in Washington D.C., and is governed by all 184 participating countries, and a staff of about 2,650 people.
