chlorophyll

Chlorophyll, the main photosynthetic pigment, absorbs wavelengths that are the most visible light except a few yellow – green and green pigments, in which the light is reflected rather than absorbed. For this, the yellow-green and green pigments could be seen on the filter paper and slide, because the chlorophyll did not absorb their wavelengths, though it did reflect them.
