Written by John Knowles, A Separate Peace was a book written about teenage boys that are growing up and becoming men. This book shows how incidents can affect a persons personality, friendships, and views of life forever. This book focuses in on two boys attending a private boarding school. The book starts out during the beginning of WWI. Throughout the book Gene, one of the main characters, changes in many ways because of his actions of envy and regret.
