Power of Faith

... Without a strong faith in God, my high school years were wasted on misled motivations towards a temporary moment of satisfaction. Faith is not simply a matter of belief, it is a matter of trust and patience and is demonstrated by God throughout the Bible. With true faith, an “upward” attitude can be generated, meaningful goals can be set, and as a result, obstacles can be overcome.
The true test of faith comes in the midst of obstacles and difficult times in our lives. ... It is not easy to be patient but at the times when we do not understand the purpose of obstacles, true faith in God will remind us of His words to Habakkuk: “Wait for it.” With patience endured through faith, our attitude becomes “upward”; in other words, we do not dwell on the world of evil but instead use obstacles such as this to build patience through faith in Him.
In Matthew chapter seventeen, the disciples’ lack of faith can be used as an example in our own personal lives.
