The breadwinner
The Breadwinner Thirty years ago it would have been almost unaccepted for a husband to stay home with the kids and the wife go to work. In today’s world this is no longer the main stream. How then did this change and what are the views of young people today compared with the young people of thirty years ago. This essay will take a closer look at these views and discuss the reasons for the answers. I recently polled ten college students between the ages of eighteen and twenty-two. I asked the question, “Do you feel in today’s world that men should be expected to have the greater income in a relationship?” Three of the ten people polled said it doesn’t matter who brings home the greater income in a relationship.
