To Kill A Mocking Bird, written by Harper Lee, is a novel of human morality. It shows the essences of people and weather they are initially good or bad. The story is narrated from the point of view of a 5 year old girl. Jean Louise Finch, also known as Scout is the protagonist as well as the main character in the story. She is very intelligent and even knew how to read before she went to school. Her confidence is also extremely high. She fights with boys without any fear. Growing up in Maycomb, Alabama with her brother Jem, father Atticus, and care taker Calpurnia, and life is different. Scout isn’t like all the other girls but more of a tomboy. Most girls in Scout’s position would be wearing dresses and learning manners. Thanks to Atticus’s parenting skills she wears overalls and learns to climb trees with Jem and Dill her friend from next door.
