FREEDOM

Jeffrey Perkins September 25, 2001 In life, one has to face a lot of choices. Some are difficult, some are easy. Perhaps one of the most widely known choices to make, is that of a political stance on topics. From a very early age, we are faced with propaganda to help us decide our platforms as individuals. Our families, friends, idols and the media all factor into what and how we decide which questions to vote for or against, which person to vote for and which political party to join. One of life’s most difficult choices to vote for is the death penalty. It is often a conflicting matter and many times causes altercations. As a voter, I realized the importance of taking a political view on this matter. More importantly as a liberal, I decided that no human being, whether a murderer or a rapist had caused such a crime that they could not be reformed and brought back to a civil manner.
