It is obvious that steroids are used on large scale in the major leagues, but now it’s time to get rid of them. Why you ask; For the loving fans, and the health and integrity of the players. And if that’s not enough, then how about that since a substance is illegal in the United States, it should be illegal in the major leagues. ... As a baseball fan one would like to think that steroids have not had a major effect on the sport, but realistically that’s not true. ... ” By allowing continued steroid use by players, baseball is sending a negative message to teens that look up to baseball players as heroes.
