226 page disaster
A two hundred and twenty six page disaster. For our first book report of the year, I picked a book that gave the impression of an intriguing story, a strong plot, and an unpredictable ending. I was wrong. The book Cards on the Table by Agatha Christie was a major disappointment. The plot was feeble, the characters were formless, and the description was less than dismal. I had read one of Ms. Christie’s books before, and it was great. Cards on the table was totally different. Unless you’re a master at the game bridge, this book is meaningless. I found it hard to pay attention while reading. It was very easy to space off while reading. A book is supposed to grab your attention and stick to you until the end. I was bored by the third paragraph.
