Trifles

In “Trifles” by Susan Glaspell, the women had discovered evidence that they were covering up from the men, which would have given motive to the murder for which Mrs. Wright was being accused. Mrs. Hale had obvious sympathy for Mrs. Wright, because in the story the conversation between the women had been that of understanding that Mrs. Wright had been living the past 30 years with a man that was difficult, at best, to get along with. Even in the beginning of the story, Mr. Hale had made a comment to George Henderson, the county attorney, which gave the impression that most people had the same opinion concerning Mr.
