Essay Questions
Before studying education, I have always had an idea in my head about what my classroom would be like and a vision of how it would look. Now, I have discovered that my thoughts and ideas have specific terms and to be aware of these ideas is important in order to survive as a teacher. As does every teacher, I have my own beliefs, which reflect certain educational theories, about classroom organization, motivation, discipline, and classroom climate. I believe in the authoritarian theory of education. Although I want to give my students some freedom in learning, I believe the teacher should have the control of the classroom. I feel that I will need my environment to be very organized, from lesson plans to classroom organization, in order for me to function. Classroom Organization Classroom organization includes lesson planning, student assessment and evaluation, and the physical setting of the classroom. As for lesson plans, I would base my lectures on the goals of the school district while using my own resources to teach the information.
