Team Chemistry is the relations between players on a given team. This term is often used in sports, either being used in a positive sense: “The Vancouver Canucks have great team chemistry,” or in a negative sense: “The Calgary Flames have poor team chemistry.” Both approaches ultimately refer back to the same definition, how do players on a team work together as a unit in different areas. The chemistry of a given team can be broken down into three aspects; chemistry between players on the ice, chemistry between players off the ice, and the overall skill of the players on the team. All of these factors put together can make or break a team, being whether or not team chemistry is present. All of these elements are interdependent on each other, so without one essential ingredient, good team chemistry cannot be present.
