Childhood's End
Since the Dawn of Man, Humans have sought out a higher power that would bring purpose to life. Since in ancient times science didn’t exist in a form that could provide any concrete explanations, man attributed the wonders of the world around them to divine creation. All over the world complex religions and rituals developed, each one unique to the culture that had spawned it. Over the Millennia, Man progressed and advanced, and though religion remained a major presence, it was gradually being disproved by scientific fact. A battle of sorts ensued, Religion vs. Science, leaving man torn between the traditions and beliefs of old, and the newly emerging knowledge that could prove everything man had believed since the beginning to be false.
