Film
Film Essay I have decided to look at camera work in both Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Psycho’ and Orson Welles’ controversial film, ‘Citizen Kane’ and will compare it to the stars of these movies. Alfred Hitchcock was renowned as a master of cinematography (and an editor) but his choice of black and white film stock for Psycho was considered within the film industry as very unconventional, since colour was at least five years the new standard. However, it worked extremely well and is now considered by film critics as his finest cinematic achievement.
