For many years now, crime has been a part of society. Whether it was something as small as stealing a neighbor's crops, or as serious as killing another person, crime has plagued society since the beginning of time. At first, the punishment was based on the crime committed, known as "An eye for an eye." However, when moral issues came about, the idea of killing a killer seemed wrong. The death penalty has been debated over since it has been around, with no success. The death penalty should be abolished because it is murderers are given a way out, two wrongs do not make a right, and it is too costly.
