A Native American in the early days moved throughout the vast open terrain undisturbed and unaware of the pending danger that was waiting them over the horizon. ... Although the troubles that plagued the Native Americans were similar to those that soon affected the assimilated Native Americans they both came with their own set of consequences. The Native American believed that maintaining a separate identity from the Europeans was paramount if they wanted to maintain their identity for future generation.
