However, this diabolical revelation plants terrible thoughts of murder and corruption on Macbeth’s otherwise clean mind. This inevitably leads to the murder of countless people by the hand of Macbeth and is evil quest for power. In the play “The Tragedy of Macbeth,” Shakespeare constantly uses light and darkness to emphasize the conflict between good and Evil. The symbolism of light represents good while darkness is associated with evil. ... Furthermore, Macbeth realizes that light is the source of peace and calmness as he calls upon the stars to conceal his “black and deep desires” of murder and power.
