Parenting and Childhood

Parenting and Childhood These stories about parenting and childhood made me realize just how lucky I am to have my parents. I can’t imagine having parents like some of the ones in the stories that I read. A couple of these stories I can’t even relate to on how the parents acted. Each story shows a different type of parenting. In each story the parents showed some type of love for there children. In “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?”, the mother tries to keep her daughter safe but at the same time turns her against her mother. In “Those Winter Sundays”, the father loves his son but can’t show his son emotional love he shows his son love physical ways. In The Glass Menagerie, the mother pushes her children because she wants the best for them. In “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?”, “Those Winter Sundays”, and The Glass Menagerie, each parent shows a different type of love and concern for their children and only want the best for them.
